1. Deep Clean the Kitchen
The kitchen is probably the most complex area of the house to clean, so it’s important to start there.
Start with the easy stuff, like wiping down and removing stains from all the cupboards. Then, start taking out built-in or left-behind appliances, like the dishwasher, freezer, or oven, to remove any built-up dirt so it’s no longer visible.
Next, scrub down countertops, baseboards, and other small items that need care and maintenance. Finally, vacuum and mop the floor to create a nice finish.
2. Tidy up living areas
Clean the areas where most people spend most of their time. Move furniture around and clean the carpet thoroughly. If there are really tough stains, call a carpet cleaning professional to help with the job.
Don’t forget to dust, wipe down, and finally clean shelves, cabinets, fireplaces, and brackets.
3. Clean your bathroom thoroughly
The shower, tub, sinks, and toilet are the main parts of the bathroom that need to be cleaned.
Metal surfaces, such as faucets and showers, are susceptible to mold and limescale, so if you notice any, make sure you clean them properly.
Lastly, check the drain holes in the sink and tub. Make sure the water can flow through easily. If there are problems, the drains need to be cleaned.
4. Don’t forget about the garden
For the garden, trim the bushes back a bit if they are too tall. Mow the grass to make it look nice, and sweep up any dirt that doesn’t belong there.
